Communications & Localization Coordinator

Under the guidance of the Communications & Localization Coordinator, you will closely collaborate with team members to produce high-quality internal and external communications for Maya Delorez. In addition, you will take on a central responsibility for overseeing and managing our external translations team, ensuring seamless coordination and excellence in language-related initiatives đź’¬

Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of content creation to support communication and marketing efforts, including crafting copy for advertisements, product launches, campaigns, marketing materials, and website landing pages. As the coordinator for our team of external language professionals, you will plan, schedule, and monitor translation projects weekly. Your role will involve sourcing suitable translators and other language professionals, as well as proofreading and performing quality checks on translated files.

What you’ll do:

  • Write a variety of different content to support communications and marketing efforts, such as ads, product copy, information materials, website landing pages etc..
  • Execute communicative tasks, ensuring timely delivery, alignment with brand guidelines, and maintenance of high-quality standards.
  • Coordinate our team of external language professionals 
  • Plan, schedule and monitor translation projects weekly
  • Source suitable translators and other language professionals 
  • Proofread and perform quality checks on translated files
  • Create and manage glossaries
  • Provide support and guidance to colleagues on translations- and communication-related matters.
  • Translate English texts into Swedish and vice versa, as needed
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and provide ideas for how to develop the overall communication within the company and projects.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, linguistics, translations or similar.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills (Swedish and English)
  • Exceptional proficiency in English
  • Highly organized and self-motivated 
  • Easily orients yourself in today’s digital media landscape and keeps track of news/trends in the communications industry.
  • Able to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Proficiency in equestrian lingo with the ability to communicate authentically about horses and the sport.

Meritorious, but not required:

  • English native speaker
  • Experience in translation quality assurance, proofreading or copy editing
  • Previous experience at an e-commerce company.
  • Proficiency in languages such as Finnish, French, German, Dutch, Danish, or others.
